Principals and Staff Providers
Ronald C. Fish, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in a wide variety of treatment modalities and populations. He has worked extensively on the treatment of couples, and has published articles on marital therapy and sex therapy in professional journals. He has received the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy's highest earned designation, Approved Supervisor. Dr. Fish is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine State University of New Work’s Upstate Medical University. He was awarded the American Psychological Association's Certificate of Proficiency in the treatment of alcohol and substance use disorders.
| Dr. Fish has developed behavioral medicine programs employing a psychoeducational approach for fibromyalgia and diabetes. In addition, he has published papers on hypnosis and given talks on stress management, fibromyalgia, depression, and marital enhancement. Joel Richman, Ph.D., has been practicing psychology for over twenty-five years. He specializes in the use of cognitive and behavioral techniques, including biofeedback, in the treatment of a variety of psychological and psychophysiological disorders. These include the anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and phobias, as well as depression, chronic pain, headache, and personality disorders.

John H. Wohlers, Ph.D.,has been in the private practice of psychology since 1975. Dr. Wohlers specializes in the application of cognitive and behavioral intervention strategies with a variety of psychological and psychophysiological disorders, but especially eating disorders and anxiety disorders. In addition, he is trained in the application of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing with victims of trauma and with individuals struggling with simple and complex phobias. Dr. Wohlers conducts outpatient group psychotherapy for individuals with eating disorders and conducts a group for individuals with personality disorders in dialectical behavioral therapy skills training. Dr. Wohlers served as Clinical Service Chief of the Eating Disorders Unit at the Benjamin Rush Center in Syracuse from 1984 to 1994, and as Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Benjamin Rush Center from1994 to1998. Jeanette S. Angeloro, LCSW-R*, is a certified social worker with over 25 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in individual, couple and group therapy. More recently, her special interests have included use of short-term psychodynamic interventions as well as dialectical behavior therapy; she has been intensely trained in both these areas. She also works at St. Joseph’s Hospital Mental Health Services in both a clinical and management capacity, which includes staff training and supervision as well as coordination of student training program. Debbie S. Bates, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, who has over ten years of experience treating and evaluating adults and adolescents with a broad range of mental health problems. She is especially interested in the treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, weight problems, stress reactions, and addictions, and emphasizes brief therapy models when appropriate. Christopher Flagg, LCSW-R , is a licensed social worker with 25 years of clinical experience. He worked for 5 years as a therapist at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Hospital inpatient substance abuse unit run by Stanford University. After completing graduate studies ay Syracuse University with a concentration in family therapy, Mr. Flagg has worked with families, couples, individuals, adolescents, and children in a variety of clinical settings.
